Stone, Water, Wood Landscape prints and drawings by Jim Lee March 22-April 13 at the Kimura Gallery
This exhibition features three series of prints and drawings as well as two artist-books by Hartford-based draughtsman, printmaker and book artist Jim Lee. The work on view in this exhibition represents the landscapes of Ireland, New England and Maritime Canada. Lee is particularly interested in the people who inhabit the locations he depicts, and weaves references to their history and cultures into his work.
There will be an opening reception Thursday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m. on the second floor of UAA's Fine and Performing Arts Building.
The Kimura Gallery is open to the public Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Jim Lee will also host free relief printing workshops/demonstrations on campus March 21-23.
