Molly Orheim will lead a panel discussion on the benefits of UAA internships on March 26.

You are invited! Molly Orheim, Director, Career Exploration & Services, will lead a panel discussion on the benefits of internships for employers, students, and faculty at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce's "Make it Monday" forum on March 26, 2018.

Learn more about how UAA internships work from employers, faculty, and students who have participated in this program. Ask the experts and learn more about how internships are helping students succeed and helping Alaskan business leaders meet their talent acquisition needs.

Panelists include:

  • Joel Condon - UAA Faculty, Construction Management, will speak to his years of experience as a professor and internship advisor.
  • Jennifer Hutchens - Lincoln Harris CSG, Property Management, will speak to her experience, from an employer perspective, on how intern programs can improve talent acquisition and human resource challenges in Alaska.
  • Jacqueline Fontana - UAA Alumni, B.B.A. '17 College of Business and Public Policy, will speak to her summer 2017 internship experience at Lincoln Harris.
  • Alex Else - Current UAA graduate student in Project Management from the College of Engineering, will speak to his summer 2017 internship experience at Granite Construction.

The "Make it Monday" forum will be held at the Dena'ina Center from Noon to 1 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. General admission is $35. $30 for Anchorage Chamber members ($32 at the door), and $15 for students with a valid ID.
