Registration for UA President’s Innovation Challenge closes March 7, 2018

The UA President's Innovation Challenge brings students and professionals together to solve community problems via a guided innovation process. It's a great way for participants to make meaningful connections while shaping the future of Anchorage-and it'll be a whole lot of fun, too!

Our team of intellectually curious creative thinkers will convene on Friday, March 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Kick-off event at the UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 210. At the conclusion of the Kick-off, three to five teams will be chosen to move forward to the next round of the challenge. They'll keep working together for the next two weeks, and come together for a Solution Showcase on March 23 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to share their idea with the community.

Challenge winners will receive prize money, tickets to North by North, and the opportunity to work with the UA Center for Economic Development and others to implement their solution.

If you're interested in submitting a challenge for teams to solve, please do so here. We can't guarantee that your idea will be chosen, but we will make sure participants have an opportunity to vote on it!

Registration will close on Wednesday, March 7, at midnight. If you're interested in participating, sign up here.
