Training on Google Suite apps and creating accessible documents in Microsoft Word - March 13 and 14, 2018

UAA Staff Council invites all employees to attend two technology workshops during spring break:

Becoming a Google Guru: Tips and Tricks to Increase Workplace Productivity in Google Suite Tuesday, March 13, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214

Whether you're an intermediate, novice or downright reluctant Google user, this hands-on training is for you! Beginning with a brief overview of Google Suite, the activities focus on providing you strategies to increase your productivity and make Google work for you.

Topics include:

  • Using Search and Tags to find emails and files
  • Using Sharing and Permissions settings
  • Collaborating within the Suite
  • Tools to increase scheduling and productivity

Content follows a demonstration and supported practice format, so anyone interested in learning more about Google, regardless of skill level, should plan to attend.

Accessible Documents: Microsoft Word 2016 Wednesday, March 14, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Rasmuson Hall, Room 206

Participants will be guided through a checklist to make an existing document accessible in Microsoft Word 2016 (PC) using Word features including heading styles, image alt tags, lists, links, tables and more. Please bring a document or two to work on for the second half of the session.

This workshop will be held in a computer lab. Feel free to bring your own laptop.
