UAA participating in national survey to assess how students process news and information

by Michelle Saport  |

Are you interested in knowing how our college students identify and assess news? We now have the opportunity to find out! UAA will be participating in a national study of nine colleges and three high schools to provide insight into this! The Project Information Literacy (PIL) survey will be emailed next Monday to a random selection of almost 4,000 full-time undergraduate students enrolled at UAA's Anchorage campus. The survey, sent from Wellesley College, will take students approximately 10 minutes to complete. Students may also register to win a $150 Amazon certificate for taking the survey. UAA's data will be given to UAA, and could be used to inform how we teach information literacy skills. More information about the study is available here. Have questions? Please email Deborah Mole at dlmole@alaska.edu. Thank you!
