Congratulations to Behavioral Sciences Conference of the North award winners

Last Saturday the UAA Department of Psychology held our annual research conference, the Behavioral Sciences Conference of the North. We would like to acknowledge student winners in three categories: Best Oral Presentation, Best Poster Presentation, and Best Graphical Abstract.

Best Oral Presentation

  • Kathleen McNealy for "Mental health treatment usage in college students: The role of stigma and physical symptoms"
  • Honorable mention: Brenda Gabbert and Kyah Ellefson for "Societal perceptions of behaviors and their association with the full moon"

Best Poster Presentation

  • Alaina Prince and Kailey Tobin for "Effects of feeding schedule and pre-training on delay discounting in male Wistar rats"
  • Honorable mention: Kathleen McNealy for "Pain-interference has a larger role in the pain-psychopathology relationship than pain severity"

Best Graphical Abstract, an audience-choice award

  • Nathan Weber and Duane Wood for "The effects of aqua-titanium necklaces on athletic performance"
