Please join the Department of Psychology for a presentation by former UAA Psychology Alumna Dr. Erin Johnson (B.A. '05, M.S. '10, Ph.D. '12). Born and raised in Anchorage, Dr. Erin Johnson received her bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from UAA. In 2011, her pre-doctoral internship took to her Nome. What was supposed to be a one-year rotation turned into six years providing services to this northern hub and the 14 surrounding villages. While in Nome, Dr. Johnson served as a clinician, supervisor, Director of Children and Youth Services, and created the FASD diagnostic team for the region. She recently returned to Anchorage to work in Southcentral Foundation's Pediatric Specialty Department.

Dr. Johnson will present "Lessons Learned: Practicing Psychology in Rural Alaska" on Thursday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in UAA Consortium Library, Room 307.
