Juneteenth Celebration Tuesday, June 19, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. UAA Cuddy Quad
Juneteenth commemorates the full enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation. UAA's Juneteenth Celebration kicks off a full week of events in Anchorage. Enjoy a community barbecue, featuring food provided by Smokehouse BBQ, music by the John Damberg Jazz Ensemble, community fair, pie-eating contest and yard games. Barbecue is free for UAA students, $5 for UAA staff and faculty and $8 for the general public.
