University of Alaska Anchorage Full-Scale Comprehensive Accreditation Evaluation Oct. 8-10, 2018

As part of the regular reaffirmation of accreditation cycle, the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is scheduled for a site visit by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) in conjunction with a year seven self-evaluation report. The visit will take place Oct. 8-10, 2018.

Regional accreditation recognizes institutional quality, effectiveness and sustainability in meeting the institution's mission. UAA has been accredited by NWCCU since 1974, and this single accreditation includes all UAA campuses - Anchorage, Kenai Peninsula College, Kodiak College, Matanuska-Susitna College and Prince William Sound College. UAA's accreditation was last reaffirmed in 2012.

As part of the process, UAA invites public comment on its qualifications for accreditation. Signed, written comments should be sent to the commission and will be shared with the institution, the evaluation committee and the commission. Comments are due to the commission no later than Sept. 8, 2018.
