Amy Snyder named director of Department of Residence Life

Student Affairs is pleased to announce Amy Snyder will join UAA as the director of the Department of Residence Life (DRL) on Aug. 20.

Amy has been working in residence life and housing for more than 20 years, starting as an RA and working her way up to her current role as director. She completed her graduate work at Bowling Green State University in College Student Personnel and has a B.A. in history from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY. Amy has worked in residence life at both public and private universities, including the University of New Hampshire, Tulane University, Lynn University and Montana State University. She is committed to creating on-campus communities that inspire students to learn and develop into responsible citizens. Her passion is helping individuals find a sense of belonging and providing opportunities for students to grow and achieve their goals.

Student Affairs looks forward to Amy's arrival and anticipate that she will be instrumental in leading DRL forward with new initiatives and collaborations across campus.
