Aug. 30, 2018: UAA celebrates 55th anniversary of the March on Washington and MLK's 'I Have a Dream' speech

The UAA Black Student Union, in collaboration with other campus and community partners, is hosting the 55th anniversary of the March on Washington, an event which culminated in Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
The celebration honors the March on Washington's original program.
Thursday, Aug. 30, UAA Fine Arts Building, Recital Hall
6:30-7 p.m. Opening reception with free refreshments
7-9 p.m. March on Washington celebration, featuring local artists and speakers, including Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and a screening of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
Tickets are free for UAA students and the general public. Attendees must reserve tickets at UAAtix.com. Seating is limited.
