Part 1: Designing Your Small Business Website - Strategies, checklists, tactics, tips and tools for evaluating sites and deciding on elements for your own Wednesday, Sept 19, 8 a.m.-Noon Available in person (1901 Bragaw Street, Suite 199) and via webinar

This easy-to-follow course empowers small business owners and makes it possible for them to design a site that is both eye-catching and effective. We'll talk about color, font and image choice as well as placement and calls to action. At the end of this class, you'll leave with the know-how to design a professional-looking website to promote your small business.

Part 2: Hands-on Lab - Learn to develop and host a website using Wix Wednesday, Sept 19, 1-5 p.m. Available in person (1901 Bragaw Street, Suite 199) only

We'll use the online web development and hosting tool Wix to develop a website for your small business. In this hands-on, instructional lab, you'll begin with a template to modify, where you'll learn how to develop a website that incorporates everything learned in Part 1 of this course. Then, attendees can start in on their own website site and leave, well on the way to having a finished website!

For Part 2, be sure to bring your laptop loaded with logos and images you might want on your website.

About the presenter Camille Kohler, president of neXus Data Solutions LLC, has worked in the IT consulting industry for seventeen years. She has experience with web design and application development, data warehousing and relational database development working as a business analyst, developer, database administrator and project manager.
