Provide feedback on search for next UAA Chancellor at listening sessions - Feb. 1 and 2, 2018

This coming Thursday and Friday, Feb. 1 and 2, 2018, consultants from Storbeck/Pimentel and Associates, the search firm conducting the search for our new Chancellor, will be visiting the university to host a series of forums with various campus and community stakeholders. We cordially invite your participation in this milestone event and wish to emphasize that your input is needed in order for the search process to be successful.

Charley Field competes in Alpine skiing for UAA, and holds a 3.79 GPA as a health sciences major. A “shining example of what it means to be a Seawolf student athlete,” she's also a three-time member of the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team.

UAA Staff Council meeting - Feb. 1, 2018

UA President Jim Johnsen will be a guest speaker at UAA Staff Council’s February 2018 meeting. The meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 1, 9:30–11:30 a.m. at UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 302, and will be open to all staff.

UAA Parking Services is now accepting entries for its 2018 Annual Amateur Photo Contest. Capture an image that represents UAA as seen through your eyes. Grand-prize winner will receive an annual full-day parking permit. Three runners-up will win a semester full-day parking permit.

Seeking faculty proposals for Selkregg Community Engagement & Service Learning Award; deadline is March 2, 2018

Faculty proposals are now being accepted for the 2018 Selkregg Community Engagement and Service Learning Award. This award of $5,000 supports UAA faculty to develop community-based research, creative activity and course-based service-learning projects. Application deadline is Friday, March 2, by noon.
