An Evening of Opera – UAA and UAF make music together Feb. 1, 2019

This week, members of the UAF Opera Workshop will join UAA's Opera Ensemble for their first-ever concert collaboration: An Evening of Mozart Opera. Directed by Dr. Jaunelle Celaire, Dr. Mari Hahn, and Lorna Eder, students will perform scenes from Mozart's most popular operas: The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan tutte and Don Giovanni. Come and hear the brightest young opera singers from Fairbanks and Anchorage!

This performance will be repeated at UAF on March 9. Abridged performances, in collaboration with Anchorage Opera, have been presented in the Anchorage School District, and will be presented in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.The project is partially funded by the University of Alaska Faculty Initiative Fund.
