Communication Poster Contest now open! Enter for chance to win a tuition waiver!

Call for poster designers! Win a 3-credit tuition waiver! Have you taken or are currently enrolled in an Oral Communication GER? We want to hear from you! The Department of Communication is sponsoring a poster contest for students to design a publicity poster highlighting our department. The winning poster will encompass aspects of the discipline of human communication and prominently featuring our department name. The winning poster will be displayed around campus and on social media. The winner will receive a 3-credit tuition waiver for Summer or Fall 2019 and have their poster revealed at an upcoming Department of Communication event. A panel of peer-judges will select the winning poster based on creativity, clarity, most representative of the discipline of communication, and the most eye-catching design.

Contest rules:

• One entry per person
• Must be currently enrolled at UAA
• Students from the UAA Anchorage campus and community campuses are eligible
• Award recipients must meet eligibility criteria, including a 2.0 cumulative GPA, Satisfactory Academic Progress and admitted to a UAA certificate or degree program
• Entry must not be used in another contest
• Must be submitted electronically
• Design must include "The Department of Communication"
• If photos used, no recognizable faces
• Must have completed or are currently enrolled in an Oral Communication GER course
• Size of work needs to be 11" x 17"
• File size should be less than 1 GB
