'myUA Performance Management Tool' and 'Effective Communication' trainings - Feb. 18, 2019

The University of Alaska Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Keli Hite McGee will be facilitating two in-person training sessions at the UAA/APU Consortium Library on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019.

  • myUA Performance Management Tool Training, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Effective Communication Training, 3-4:30 p.m.

A short description of each training is provided below.

To sign up for a session and receive credit for the training, log in to the myUA Employee Services Dashboard, go to "My community>Learning Library," and search for the training. Participant capacity is limited to 30 people per session. An online training option for both is in process with more information to follow.

myUA Performance Management Tool Training Monday, Feb. 18, 1-2:30 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307

The University of Alaska (UA) has implemented a new performance management tool through PageUp, UA's recruitment system. The performance management tool provides a collaborative space for employees and supervisors to track the success and progress of an employee. The following will be covered in the training:

  • Explaining PageUp, UA's recruitment tool
  • Performance management best practices
  • New employee learning library

This training is for all University of Alaska employees, not just supervisors. Sign up for the session via myUA.

Effective Communication Training Monday, Feb. 18, 3-4:30 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307

This training focuses on defining and developing the art of communication in the workplace. Led by UA Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Keli Hite McGee, this training develops an effective communication toolkit, outlines different communication styles, helps to recognize barriers that might inhibit shared understanding, and the importance of building trust.
