Opportunities for public comment regarding School of Education's accreditation loss

by Michelle Saport  |

The University of Alaska Board of Regents (BOR) wants to hear your comments, experiences, concerns and questions regarding the School of Education's loss of programmatic accreditation. As you may be aware, the regents held a listening session for all UAA School of Education students at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 12. You will have additional opportunities to convey your concerns to the BOR at a public testimony call-in session scheduled for Feb. 19, 4-6 p.m., and at the board's full meeting on Feb. 28 in Anchorage. The board will conduct an Academic and Student Affairs committee meeting on Feb. 21, but no public comment will be solicited; this meeting will be streamed live, however, at alaska.edu/bor/live. Your written testimony can also be submitted to the board at any time via email to ua-bor@alaska.edu.
