March 8 - Debate team sharpens incarcerated Anchorage teens' skills (KTUU Channel 2 News) - Adrian Schnyder, a member of the UAA Seawolf Debate team, has been mentoring teens at the McMcLaughlin Youth Center.

March 8 - Former UAA Chancellor Awarded by Japan (Coastal Television, ABC/FOX) - The government of Japan awarded UAA Chancellor Emeritus Tom Case The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in recognition of his contributions to strengthening the mutual understanding and promoting academic exchanges between Japan and the United States.

March 18 - University of Alaska Students Address Legislation Over Budget Cuts (ABC/FOX Coastal Television) - USUAA President Geser Bat-Erdene and Vice President Clare Baldwin discuss their upcoming advocacy trip to Juneau to speak with legislators.

March 24 - Suit-Up Event (KTVA Channel 11 News*) - UAA students and alumni shop career dress apparel at an extra 40 percent off at an exclusive event The JCPenney store in the 5th Avenue Mall hosted an exclusive professional dress shopping event for UAA students and alum.

March 20 - 2019 Armed Forces Classic to tip off for first time in Alaska (KTVA Channel 11 News; KTUU Channel 2 News*) - The eighth annual Armed Forces Classic will be staged at the Alaska Airlines Center on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage on Friday, Nov. 8 in a partnership with the Joint Base Elemdorf-Richardson military facility.

March 21 - Choose Respect March aims to counter Alaska domestic violence (KTVA Channel 11 News) - Story on domestic violence includes stats from UAA Justice Center and a brief interview with professor Andre Rosay, who helped conduct the survey.

March 22 - ConocoPhillips Arctic Science and Engineering Endowment (ABC/FOX Coastal Television*) - Ten years ago, ConocoPhillips presented UAA with a $15 million endowment for arctic science and engineering, the university system's largest. To date, the endowment has awarded more than $1.7 million in project and research funding.

March 26 - UA President Jim Johnsen delivers State of the University address (KTUU Channel 2 News) - UAA Chancellor Cathy Sandeen and student government representative Alex Jorgensen comment on key points President Johnsen outlined in his State of the University address.
