Advocacy opportunity: Budget public testimony in the Senate this week

by Michelle Saport  |

The Legislature needs your input this week! This Thursday and Friday, the Senate Finance Committee will take public testimony on the operating budget. This is the first and last opportunity to communicate publicly with these key decision makers before they take action on the university's budget.

Your participation at this stage of the budget process is critical. Even if you've already testified this year, please take time to once again communicate your support for UA!

UA is an excellent investment in Alaska's future. Show your support, tell your story and advocate against further cuts to UA's budget.

Visit your local Legislative Information Office (LIO) or call-in, but please testify.

Please share this message with as many people as possible.

If you reside in a community with an LIO, please go there to testify. Arrive 15 minutes early to sign-up. If you don't live near an LIO, here is the call-in information:

  • If you have a phone with a Juneau prefix - (907) 586-9085
