Know the steps to participate:
1. Apply for graduationAn application for graduation must be submitted prior to walking in the commencement ceremony. For application steps, visit Graduation & Degree Services. Remember these deadlines:
- April 5, 2019 - Deadline to apply for spring graduation and be included in the printed commencement program.
- April 26, 2019 - Deadline to apply for spring graduation and walk in the May 5 commencement ceremony.
2. RSVP for the ceremony
An RSVP is required for all participating graduates. The RSVP page for the spring ceremonies opens March 5.
3. Purchase regalia and claim guest tickets
Regalia and guest tickets will be available at the Campus Bookstore during and after the Grad Fair March 22-23, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Cap, gown and tassel are required to participate in commencement. A hood is also required for master's and doctoral degree candidates participating in the hooding and commencement ceremonies.
Graduates may claim up to five tickets for their guests to attend the commencement ceremony. RSVPing for the ceremony is required prior to claiming these tickets (tickets are not required for the graduate degree hooding ceremony). Learn more about guest tickets.
