UAA IT Services hiring Student Switchboard Operators for Fall 2019

Information Technology (IT) Services is looking for applicants to fill our Switchboard Operator position. Join the IT Services team, and serve as one of the front lines of contact at UAA. This entry-level, part-time, position is open to eligible students, and offers opportunities to learn about working in a professional environment while attending college.

The Switchboard Operator position represents IT Services and UAA by serving as the preliminary contact for all incoming calls to the University of Alaska Anchorage switchboard. This position is responsible for answering and directing phone calls in a professional manner, and assisting with front-desk duties at the IT Services office as necessary. Successful candidates will contribute to a positive working environment, provide friendly customer service to all callers and visitors to the department, and perform administrative tasks as needed.

This is a part-time position with the ability to work up to 20 hours a week during the fall and spring semesters. Opportunities to work additional hours during semester breaks, spring break, and summer semester may be available.
