Join UAA for masquerade-themed Campus Kick-Off on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019. Fun kicks off with CKO Festival from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Cuddy Quad.

Again this Fall 2019, UAA welcomes new and returning students to celebrate the beginning of the fall semester with Campus Kick-Off on Saturday, Aug. 24!

Campus Kick-Off Festival Saturday, Aug. 24, 5-7:30 p.m. Cuddy Quad (rain or shine)

Explore more than 150 student clubs, UAA departments, Anchorage businesses and nonprofit organizations during the CKO Festival. This is the best place to get a feel for the UAA campus and surrounding Anchorage community and opportunities to get connected. Also sample good eats from local food trucks, let loose on inflatable activities, get your butt sketched, and meet Spirit, the Seawolf mascot!

Students have the opportunity to participate in the CKO Passport program, where students can win prizes for talking with various organizations tabling at the Festival. Prizes range from CKO-branded "swag bags" to Moose's Tooth tickets

For students living on the residential campus, UAA shuttles will run continuously from Gorsuch Commons to Rasmuson Hall beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Comedy Show featuring Ali Sadiq Saturday, Aug. 24, 7:30-9 p.m. Wendy Williamson Auditorium

Following the CKO festival, this year's Comedy Show presents Ali Sadiq. His unique style of stand-up began behind the walls of incarceration, an incubator for interesting experiences and good stories. People received their first taste of Ali Siddiq when he appeared on HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM and LIVE FROM GOTHAM, and in 2013 he was named Comedy Central's "#1 Comic to Watch." You won't want to miss this!

Dance Party and BBQ Saturday, Aug. 24, 9-11 p.m. Cuddy Quad

Stick around after the comedy show for a masquerade dance party featuring DJ GRE in the Cuddy Quad. The quad will also feature more food - BBQ!

College Night at Fred Meyer Saturday, Aug. 24, 11:59 p.m.-Sunday, Aug. 26, 2 a.m. Fred Meyer on Northern Lights Boulevard

Again this year, the Fred Meyer on Northern Lights Boulevard opens its door exclusively for UAA students from 11:59 p.m. to 2 a.m. Featuring huge sales, prize giveaways, and even more free food to get students ready for the next semester.
