Video message from President Johnsen and invitation to participate in stakeholder survey

by Michelle Saport  |

Dear UA Community,

In his Monday, Aug. 12, video update, President Johnsen touches on the progress made on budget discussions with Gov. Dunleavy's office. President Johnsen has been talking with Gov. Dunleavy as he continues to advocate for the university's state funding.

He also mentions facilitated academic planning workshops next week in Anchorage and Fairbanks, and in support of that work, the president announces a new survey and asks you to take 15 minutes to complete it. Data from the survey will serve an important role in the Board of Regents' consideration of how the university will approach consolidation plans, and continue meeting the state's needs for higher education in a constrained financial environment. The Board plans to make decisions on university structure and programs in September, so please respond right away.

Your participation in the survey is voluntary. All responses will be kept confidential -- only combined results without identifying information will be reported.

Thank you in advance for your input at this critical time.
