Jamie Bagley and Brooke Hansen will serve as 2020 Spring Semester USUAA President and Vice-President

Following the resignation of USUAA President Clare Baldwin, Jamie Bagley, who was serving as the USUAA Vice-President, accepted the role of President (per the USUAA Constitution). Jamie served in the Vice-President position during the 2019 fall semester, and as Speaker Pro Tempore during the 2018–19 academic year and is well prepared to continue guiding the assembly under her leadership. Jamie is working on a degree in biological sciences and hopes to one day pursue a career as a veterinarian. Jamie can be contacted at usuaa.president@alaska.edu.

Brooke Hansen was appointed by President Bagley and confirmed by the assembly as the USUAA Vice-President, effective immediately. Brooke served as a senator during the 2019 fall semester, her first semester at UAA. Brooke is working on an undergraduate degree in political science, with a minor in history. After completing a degree at UAA, she hopes to study constitutional law at the University of Virginia Law School. Brooke can be contacted at usuaa.vicepresident@alaska.edu.

USUAA will host spring assembly meetings every Friday at 3 p.m. in the Lyla Richards Conference Room (Student Union, Room 103). The next meeting will be held Jan. 24, 2020. These meetings are open to the public.
