2020 Symphony of Sounds at UAA

The UAA Department of Music's largest performance of the year — Symphony of Sounds 2020 — is this weekend. From classical to jazz, opera to musical theatre, the Symphony of Sounds has something for everyone.

Symphony of Sounds 2020

Friday, Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m. | Saturday, Feb. 22, 7:30 p.m.
Fine Arts Building, Recital Hall

Tickets: $24.99 - main floor; $29.99 - balcony. On sale at ArtsUAA.com and at the door.

Don't miss out on this unique concert experience! The program will include performances by the University Singers, Opera Ensemble, Early Music Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble and Sinfonia, and several student solos.

Also performing will be the US Army Alaska's 9th Army Band quintet (led by conductor Alexander Davis), thanks to a new collaboration with the UAA Department of Music. The collaboration extends beyond the stage as the band members are also attending rehearsals, coaching individuals and groups of students in section rehearsals and playing in junior/senior student recitals. The new partnership allows for more instruments and musicians during performances, and expands opportunities for students aspiring to become professional musicians.

In addition to this weekend's Symphony of Sounds, the 9th Army Band will perform in uniform at the Sinfonia concert on March 6 and Sinfonia/University Singers performance on April 25. View all upcoming UAA Music events at ArtsUAA.com.
