Be a part of this innovative learning community that makes education more accessible for Alaska’s learners. Textbook Transformation Fellows combine sound course design, technological integration, and material affordability to enhance both teaching and learning. The emphasis for our 2020-2021 Textbook Transformation Fellowship will be to design or re-design courses using free-to-access course materials, such as Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Textbook Transformation Fellows work closely as a community throughout the year to transition course materials and re/design courses. Textbook Transformation Fellows are awarded financial compensation upon completion of their projects.

Applying to the Textbook Transformation Fellowship is a competitive process. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee from the Alaska Open Education Initiative and the Textbook Affordability Committee. Application due March 18, 2020. Applicants will be notified about acceptance into the program by March 30, 2020.
