Seven UAA alumni named to 'Top Forty Under 40'

The Alaska Journal of Commerce released its annual list of the top young professionals in the state. Selected from a field of 145 nominations, the 2020 "Top Forty Under 40" recipients exemplify excellence in professional and community service. Congratulations to all awardees, including the following seven Seawolf alumni who made this year's list.

  • Jonathon Butler (B.A. Justice '17), 33, Anchorage. Senior Patrol Officer, SWAT Officer, Anchorage Police Department.
  • Keneggnarkayaagaq Emily Edenshaw (B.A. Journalism and Public Communications '12), 36, Anchorage. Executive Director, Alaska Native Heritage Center.
  • Dr. William Magnuson (B.A. Biological Sciences '06), 39, Anchorage. Medical Director, Advanced Oncology Associates and The Alaska Cyberknife Center.
  • Dr. Xiomara Owens (B.A. Psychology '05, M.S. Clinical Psychology '09, Ph.D. Clinical-Community Psychology '19), 38, Anchorage. Director of Behavioral Health Aide Training, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Anchorage.
  • Ralph Pasana (B.S. Nursing Science '14), 31, Anchorage. Nurse Manager, Caregiver Health Services, Providence Health & Services Alaska.
  • Laurel Renkert (B.B.A. Economics '12), 32, Anchorage. Financial Advisor, Waddell & Reed.
