Call for Howl Days presentations

by New Student Orientation  |

This year, we will be trying a new, interactive format for New Student Orientation by allowing students to pick and choose sessions with various presentations by departments — that's where you come in! This new format will allow for more departments to have the ability to participate in Howl Days and will also allow students to have a unique experience based on their individual needs.

In order to make this a reality, we will be having six different presentation session slots in the morning and six in the afternoon. This means that if you would like to present that you must be able to participate in all Howl Days (listed below) in both the morning and afternoon (each presentation will be 15 minutes, so you will want to set aside about 45 minutes each for the morning and afternoon) since you will be presenting it twice. Once we confirm presentations, we will let you know your specific time slots between 9:55–11:50 a.m., and 12:45–2:45 p.m.

If you are interested, please fill out this form by March 20. For those who may not want to have a designated presentation or if time does not allow us to have everyone present, we will continue to have a resource fair at every orientation. Requests for the resource fair will be coming shortly!

Below is a list of all Howl Days for the summer. We look forward to your continued partnership in order to welcome UAA students and connect them with the resources they need for their first year!
