The Alaska Area Health Education Center (AHEC) program provides a pathway for students to prepare for and enter into healthcare careers, leading them into the workforce and supporting their continued development. Seeking applications for the Education Coordinator position.
The AHEC program, a statewide program in compliance with federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funding for AHECs across the nation, has been successful in establishing Pipeline Programming throughout the state to increase youth interest in health care careers. This position will be the lead in coordination of the AHEC Health Careers Preparation and Promotion efforts, which aim to engage and expose youth to careers in healthcare. The position will also be the lead in coordination of College of Health pre-college recruitment and outreach programming in coordination with the UAA COH Student Success Center.
