Provost search finalists scheduled for virtual campus visits

Dear UAA Community,
As co-chairs of the provost search committee, we are pleased to share this positive update regarding this important search for the next provost and vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at UAA.
After limiting a robust initial pool of candidates to a smaller set of semifinalists, each of whom the search committee interviewed, we are now moving forward to schedule virtual campus visits for four highly-qualified finalists.
As a reminder, our partners in this search are senior members of the Academic Search team who have helped us design this position profile, generate interest nationally in this position and evolve our process as new realities set in during the search process. We are grateful for the expertise and guidance they have provided, especially in these unusual times.
It is important we inspire active engagement of our campus communities in the final stages of this search process. With that in mind, there will be multiple opportunities for faculty, students and staff to engage virtually with each of the finalists.
Schedule specifics are forthcoming, but please save the dates for one-hour virtual open forums: April 27, 28 and 29.
