The College of Health at the University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking two Communications Coordinators.


Division of Human Services, Justice and Social Work

As part of the UAA College of Health (COH), the Division of Human Services, Justice, and Social Work incorporates Associate, Baccalaureate, and Master’s degree programs, in addition to minors and certificates, in the fields of Human Services, Justice, Legal Studies, and Social Work. The Division is the home of significant public service and research project activity through the Alaska Justice Information Center, the National Resource Center for Alaska Native Elders, and the Child Welfare Academy. The Division incorporates instructional, research, and public service activities to advance the quality of life of Alaska and its citizens.

The Communications Coordinator will work as part of the College of Health’s communications team, and will be responsible for developing and disseminating content for the Division’s internal and external communications and marketing channels. The incumbent will be responsible for developing engaging content that reflects the Division’s strategic priorities, and for maintaining efficient workflows for all of the Division’s communications channels.

The Communications Coordinator will collaborate closely with the College of Health’s other communications staff, as well as with faculty and staff across the Division. Ultimately, the position will have an important role in building public awareness of the Division’s academic programs and activities, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and partners, and supporting the Division’s student recruitment efforts.

Division of Clinical Health Sciences

As part of the UAA College of Health (COH), the Division of Clinical Health Sciences incorporates Associate, Baccalaureate, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs, in addition to minors and certificates, in the fields of Nursing and Allied Health. The Division is the home of academic programs that meet critical health workforce needs for the state of Alaska. The Division incorporates instructional, research, and public service activities to advance the health and quality of life of Alaska and its citizens. 

The Communications Coordinator will work as part of the College of Health’s communications team, and will be responsible for developing and disseminating content for the Division’s internal and external communications and marketing channels. The incumbent will be responsible for developing engaging content that reflects the Division’s strategic priorities, and for maintaining efficient workflows for all of the Division’s communications channels.
