Native Student Services welcomes new student services coordinator

Native Student Services (NSS) staff would like to welcome and congratulate Paula Jones as the new Student Services Coordinator (SSC) as of August 3, 2020. Paula comes from the Alaskan village of Kuinerraq (Quinhagak). Paula has a strong relationship with her home community where most of her family still resides. She has a teenage daughter, Jaelynn, who is a sophomore in the Anchorage School District.
Paula is an UAA alumni with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services who brings a wealth of skills and experience to her position! She will employ her skills by bridging students with NSS, UAA and community partners through mentorship, programming, recruiting and academic excellence. NSS staff would like to thank the SSC search committee for all the hard work and their excellent choice!
