Upstart Internship opportunity — help strengthen entrepreneurs in Alaska

by UA Center for Economic Development  |

Are you interested in seeing what it's like to start and run a small business? Apply to join the Upstart Internship program and help the Center for Economic Development strengthen entrepreneurs in Alaska.

In this program, interns are paired with local startup companies and entrepreneurial ecosystem builders to learn about entrepreneurship and what it means to be a founder. They also participate in regular professional development sessions with topics ranging from managing remote work to leveraging their strengths for success.

Interns work up to 20 hours per week and make $18 an hour. All work for the 2020-21 internship program will be remote, and the program will run November–May. This program is open only to currently enrolled UAA students.

Students can apply here: Upstart Internship Program. Some of our previous interns went on to join the companies they were paired with as permanent staff!
