This notice is compliant with the Clery Act and notification to the community regarding emergency management. On Feb. 28, 2020, the University of Alaska Anchorage, in partnership with university departments and local partners, conducted an emergency management exercise and drill.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, the Budget Director works closely with the university chancellor and cabinet, deans, directors, department chairs and the Campus Budget Advisory Board to provide subject matter expertise and guidance related to UAA’s $301 million total fund operating budget.

This position is responsible for overseeing UAA’s Protection of Minors program and policy, to include all of the University’s community campuses.

In her four years at UAA, civil engineering senior Kacy Grundhauser has achieved an impressive amount on top of her challenging degree. To top it off, the American Society of Civil Engineers recently recognized her as one of the 2020 New Faces of Civil Engineering – Collegiate Edition.

Spring break is March 9–13, 2020. There will be no classes or Seawolf Shuttle all week. In addition, campus will be closed on Friday, March 13.

Seawolf Dining retail outlets will have new hours starting March 16, 2020. Please watch digital signage and social media for details.

Chancellor Cathy Sandeen invites the UAA community to a gathering to celebrate UAA's Alaska Native heritage. This will be a chance to start a new campus tradition while we kick off spring break.

The Seawolf Shop will be open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., and closed on Friday. The Textbook Kiosk will be closed Monday–Friday during spring break week.

Dr. John Nofsinger has accepted the role of interim dean of the UAA College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP). Dr. Nofsinger is currently a professor of finance and the Seward Chair in international finance for CBPP. He has been instrumental in developing courses for classroom delivery, online and remote locations.
