Nov. 20: Traditional Yup'ik & Unangax Storytelling

Please join us for an evening of traditional Alaska Native storytelling via Zoom: Quentin Ciissiar Simeon will perform a traditional Yup’ik story titled, “The First Yuk” from the Yukon-Kuskokwim region, and Haliehana Stepetin and Dustin Newman will perform a couple Unangax songs, dances and a story or two from the Aleutian Chain region.

The considerations were updated to reflect small and informal gatherings of family and friends from across multiple households that often occur during the holiday season. The Thanksgiving tip sheet is a resource to help people take steps to make their Thanksgivings safer. These considerations complement other resources to help minimize risk and keep family, friends and communities safer.
