COVID-19 vaccine available for employees and students by appointment April 16

by UAA Student Health and Counseling Center  |

The Student Health & Counseling Center will be holding a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday, April 16 as planned. The clinic is open to all UAA employees and students by appointment. Pfizer vaccine will be substituted for the planned doses of Janssen vaccine. If you have questions about this or would like to schedule your vaccination, please call the clinic at 907-786-4050. Same-day appointments are welcome.

We encourage you to get vaccinated!

On March 9, Gov. Dunleavy announced the state had broadened eligibility to include all Alaskans age 16 and over. Alaska is the first state in the nation to make vaccination available to all members of the public.

For more information about other local vaccine providers, please review recent communications from the UA statewide office. Please remember that until more people in our state are vaccinated, it's important to continue practicing COVID-19 safety measures: Wear a mask, avoid gatherings of people outside your household, stay 6 feet away from others and wash your hands frequently. Remaining vigilant now will allow all of us to be together in person sooner.
