2021-22 UAA Shuttle Program Suspension and Review

by Green & Gold News  |

UAA Administration authorized the pause of shuttle service for academic year 2021-22 as we conduct an assessment of how best to streamline shuttle services for future academic years. This recommendation was informed by student input from three meetings with USUAA and residential campus student leaders, as well as the office of Disability Support Services. The assessment will focus on exploring shuttle outsourcing costs and benefits; simplifying routes; downsizing fleet shuttle size to eliminate the commercial drivers license requirement; and potentially procuring more fuel efficient, smaller, hybrid vans if shuttle service remains self-operated. We will keep you updated and provide opportunity for input as we work through the process.

The U-Pass program has been renewed and gives you unlimited, free use of the Municipality of Anchorage PeopleMover and Mat-Su Valley Transit bus services using your valid WolfCard. More information on alternative transportation is available on the UAA Parking Services website.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve service to our UAA community!
