Alaska INBRE investigators receive seven administrative supplement awards

The NIH National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) awards Administrative Supplement opportunities to develop collaborations between investigators, purchase equipment, address critical issues of women's health, and surveillance studies of SARS-CoV-2 viral strains. Since 2019 the Alaska INBRE program has received all seven submitted Administrative Supplements totaling $2,028,441. Awardees in 2019/2021 were Sarah Buckingham and Holly Martinson (UAA), Jennifer Shaw and Jaedon Avey (Southcentral Foundation), and Matthew Wooller (UAF) for a total of $568,607. In the current award year, a total of $1,459,834 has been awarded to Patrick Tomco, Eric Bortz, Lauren Lessard, Katie Cueva and Jennifer Schmidt (UAA), and Jack Chen and Devin Drown (UAF).
