Faculty and Staff Diversity Database Survey request for participation

Hello UAA Faculty and Staff,

The Faculty Senate Diversity Committee has been developing a diversity database survey to collect data from staff and faculty in regards to their diversity related activities. The data collected will be relevant to multiple UAA efforts. We have plans to publish the data publicly online. We sincerely hope you will take the time to participate to help us get an accurate picture of diversity activities at UAA

The purpose of the database is to:

  • Create a community that is committed to and interested in diversity and inclusion.
  • Leverage the scholarly profile of faculty members.
  • Leverage the diverse service work of faculty members.
  • Highlight the teaching by faculty members incorporating diversity and inclusion.
  • Provide an Experts Database for internal and external constituents.

We plan to update our database yearly during the spring semester.

Note that we define diversity based on UAA’s diversity statement, which states that “diversity includes understanding and respecting differences in ideas, religion, gender, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, disability, age, and socioeconomic status.”
