Alaska INBRE announces Sustaining Research Excellence Award - Request for Proposals

by Alaska INBRE  |

As part of the Sustaining Research Excellence (SRE) Core of Alaska INBRE 4, successful biomedical and health researchers within the INBRE network may be nominated to receive funding for the support of graduate students, post-doctoral scholars, and technicians, the purchase of equipment, and/or to provide for buy-outs from teaching or clinical duties. This support is meant as an incentive for successful investigators to remain in Alaska and further develop their research program through the continued acquisition of major grants.

Eligible investigators are tenure-track or research faculty within the University of Alaska, or full-time research/clinicians at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium or the Southcentral Foundation who have established productive research programs as evidenced by regular publications and a record of major, independent grant awards as principal investigator. Major awards are not pilot awards from IDeA mechanisms. If you have questions asbout eligibility, contact Brian Barnes, Alaska INBRE PI bmbarnes@alaska.edu.
