Join UAA Military & Veteran Student Services (MVSS) and Student Veterans at UAA for a week of events celebrating Veterans Day.

Monday, Nov. 8, 6-7:30 p.m. | Screening of movie 'On Black Mountain'
On Black Mountain (49 minutes): This documentary is about the healing-centered mindfulness-based program
I co-developed with Lee Klinger Lesser through Veteran’s PATH. This documentary focuses
on a few of the women in the Women Veterans Anchor Program and Lee’s role as the Founder
of Veteran’s PATH. Watch the trailer and join the Zoom (meeting ID: 883 7141 7592).
Movie will run for one hour followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the filmmaker, Frederick
Marx.

Visit with a therapy dog at the MVSS Resource Center.
Thursday, Nov. 11 | Veterans Day at Resource Center
Enjoy free snacks and drinks at the MVSS Resource Center. Will also have 100 $5 Kaladi
gift cards.*
*These can only be used at the Kaladi on campus and must be used by the end of fall
semester.
Friday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m. | UAA at the Movies: 'Saving Private Ryan'
Join us at Century 16 for a Veterans Appreciation Week screening of Saving Private Ryan. Tickets are $5 for all attendees (UAA students, UAA staff/faculty/alumni, and the
general public), which includes a concession voucher for a small popcorn and small
fountain drink (excludes ICEEs). You must sign up at UAATix.com (tickets are not sold on-site at Century 16; online sales end at 5 p.m. Nov. 12).
Free suite tickets to Seawolf Athletics
Campus Services has generously provided Military & Veteran Student Services with suite
tickets to basketball games and a volleyball game on Saturday, Nov. 20. Stop the MVSS
Resource Center located in the Student Union, Room 102 to pick up your tickets. Limit
two tickets per person and must provide proof of military affiliation.
