Alaska Airlines Ticket Voucher Program accepting proposals through June 30

Alaska Airlines has generously donated vouchers to be used for special projects at UAA, which support the mission of the university. UAA departments are invited to submit a project proposal that could benefit from the use of these tickets. The proposal period is now open through Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

UAA/Alaska WWAMI offers new post-baccalaureate certificate for students interested in medical school

This fall, UAA will be offering a new post-baccalaureate certificate in pre-medical studies to help those students who already have a baccalaureate degree prepare themselves for medical school and complete their pre-requisite coursework.

Recently, Micah Hahn, assistant professor of environmental health in UAA’s Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies, co-released the preliminary results of the Southcentral Wildfire Study, which examined the mental health impacts of the 2019 Swan Lake wildfire on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula.

Klouda Classic Golf Tournament - July 17 - to benefit UAA/ISU Pharmacy Students

Bernie's pharmacy is hosting a charity golf tournament on July 17 at Anchorage Golf Course. Proceeds fund scholarships for UAA students studying to be pharmacists in Alaska.

Anchorage Classical Guitar Society presents a memorial concert for Alex Salov, UAA adjunct faculty who taught Japanese classes at UAA for the last 15 years.
