Fall course materials submission portal open March 15-April 2

The textbook and other course materials submission portal at the UAA Anchorage Campus Online Bookstore will be open for Anchorage faculty to submit their adoptions from March 15 to April 2. All Anchorage faculty must enter course material information, even just to indicate that the class will use Open Educational Resources, other zero cost materials, or no required materials for the class.

Open forums for finalists for the College of Engineering Dean position

As chairs of the UAA COENG Dean search committee, we are pleased to announce the finalists for the position and the process for virtual campus visits April 5-8. Our search generated international interest and produced a large set of initial applicants. Over several weeks, committee members reviewed the applications and interviewed the most qualified individuals, leading us to the advancement of four outstanding finalists.

March 26: Grand Rounds: Telehealth for Infectious Disease, Part 2

The Grand Rounds is an interactive experience investigating telehealth for infectious disease with peers, faculty, and healthcare providers. All students interested in healthcare are invited and welcome. Panelists will include microbiologists, an epidemiologist, a nurse, and a patient that has recovered from COVID-19.

Books of the Year Student Art Show

The UAA/APU Books of the Year (BOY) program is proud to collaborate with Senior Seminar art students on this exhibit entitled “Eyes to See, Ears to Hear: Rising Resilience.” The BOY program brings faculty, staff, and community members together to understand common themes, serves as the catalyst for discussions of larger issues, and provides creative venues for people to express their interpretations of those issues in different ways.

Watch the pitches and determine your perfect pick. Then vote in the People's Choice category while our judges deliberate over the Grand Prize ($6,000), Second Place ($3,000) and First Fortune $500 Award.
