Student housing application for 2022-23 now available

Residence Life is pleased to announce that the 2022-23 student housing application is now open! The application was released significantly earlier this year to encourage students to apply during spring recruitment activities simultaneously with admission to the institution. We are also excited to share three initiatives being implemented next academic year:

1) General Housing Scholarship: in light of the ongoing financial impact of the pandemic, a $1,000 scholarship will be automatically awarded to every student who lives on campus next fall and spring semesters. No additional application required. For more information, visit our website.

2) Academic Honors Housing Scholarship: the $750 per semester UA Scholars Housing Scholarship that was implemented in fall 2021 will be extended to include students in the University Honors College. No additional application required. This scholarship can be stacked with the General Housing Scholarship for a potential total annual award of $3,500 in reductions to student housing cost. 3) First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Program: starting in fall 2022, students who choose to live in student housing who meet the following criteria will automatically be assigned to our FYRE Community:

1. Lived in UAA student housing less than two semesters
2. Earned less than 18 college credits
3. Less than 21 years old
