by Green & Gold News  |

Here’s an exciting opportunity for up to 100 full time UAA students with an interest in environmental issues: the UAA Books of the Year program has partnered with the Alaska Forum on the Environment to offer no-cost attendance at the annual Alaska Forum on the Environment conference, which will be virtual this year Feb. 7-10. Here are the details!

  • No-cost student registration for up to 100 students is available for UAA students with an interest in environmental issues.
  • View the full conference schedule. They are still finalizing a few sessions, and will be adding a few more and keynote information.
    • Attendees who register will get access to the Virtual Attendee Hub and be able to view all sessions virtually through that.
    • Two keynotes will also be available for viewing in LIB 307 by UAA faculty, staff and students (including non-registrants) along with the virtual option. If you’d like to listen and ask questions in the company of others, we will be masked and socially distanced. More information to follow.
  • Students can enroll in earning credit from UAF Bristol Bay Campus by signing up here.
  • Registered students need to send an email with their name and major or environmental interest to esgoddard01@alaska.edu (and cc Deven Lisac at dlisac1@alaska.edu and Libby Roderick at eroderick@alaska.edu) by Feb. 7 to confirm their registration if they are signing up for UAF credit.
