Student Activities is celebrating Women’s History Month by showcasing the contributions of Alaskan women writers. Join us Wednesday, March 2, at 4:30 p.m. for an online discussion and opportunities to (virtually) meet former State Writer Laureate, Nancy Lord.
Her work focuses mainly on environmental and marine issues, and has appeared widely in journals and anthologies and has been honored with fellowships and awards. She has taught in the University of Alaska system for many years and currently teaches science writing for Johns Hopkins University.
*College students are busy, so no reading ahead of time is required. Come prepared to read a short excerpt, discuss and then hear from the author!
