Implicit bias training workshop offered

Alaska EPSCoR, Alaska INBRE and the UAF Dept of Equity and Compliance are collaborating to offer a three-part implicit bias workshop this month.

Part 1 is a virtual viewing of the film "Picture a Scientist" at a time that fits your schedule March 25-27.

Part 2 is a panel discussion on March 28, 11 a.m. Confirmed panel members are UAF VCR Nettie La Belle-Hamer, EPSCoR researcher Uma Bhatt, SCF Director of Research Denise Dillard, UAA Professor Jason Burkhead, UAS Associate Professor Sonia Nagorski, and UAF Equity and Compliance director Margo Griffith. The panel will reply to questions related to the documentary and general Q&A.

Part 3 is implicit bias training from 12:30-3 p.m., presented by Ronnie Houchin and Margo Griffith. After registering for the workshop you will receive a confirmation email with a link to a Google Doc that contains all the relevant information, links and resources.
