Job opening: Recruitment and Retention of Alaska Natives into Nursing (RRANN) Program Coordinator

This position is a new position in the College of Health/School of Nursing developed to provide leadership to the RRANN program in the recruitment and retention of Alaska Native/American Indian students in their pursuit of a nursing degree. The RRANN Program Coordinator will work with the School of Nursing leadership and faculty in developing highly skilled and culturally competent nursing workforce to promote positive change, and to improve the quality of healthcare within Native communities. The Program Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day management and strategic planning for the RRANN program which entails expanding nursing education opportunities, enhancing workforce diversity, encouraging leadership, and assisting native students to overcome education and economic barriers. The Coordinator will supervise staff employed by RRANN, and work closely with faculty and staff across programs to achieve RRANN program goals.
