ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – University of Alaska Anchorage head hockey coach Matt Shasby announced that Matt Allen will be transferring from UMass-Lowell to join the Seawolves for the 2022-23 season.

Matt was a very productive player in junior hockey, and we are looking for him to get back to that for UAA next fall,” said head coach Matt Shasby. “Our staff is very familiar with his abilities to create offense, which has been a key focus for us when building out the forward group.”

Matt Allen, a 5-10, 168-pound, forward, recorded one goal and three assists over the last two seasons at UMASS-Lowell. Prior to joining the River Hawks, the Minco, Okla., native played two seasons for the Amarillo Bulls (NAHL). Allen tallied 71 points (29 goals, 42 assists) in 89 games and was named to the NAHL All-Star Second Team.
