Indigenizing Education: National Difficult Dialogues Podcast

by UAA Difficult Dialogues Initiative  |

On Feb. 14, UAA co-hosted a webinar entitled "Beyond Land Acknowledgements." This nationally broadcast event featured noted Alaska Native educators and represented a collaboration of UAA's Difficult Dialogues Initiative, the Difficult Dialogues National Center and U Penn. The webinar drew well over 1,200 participants.

As the next installment in this series, we're pleased to offer a podcast featuring Unangan Elder Ilarion Merculieff and Libby Roderick, director of UAA's Difficult Dialogues Initiative. In it, they explore issues related to indigenizing education and reference "Stop Talking: Indigenous Ways of Teaching and Learning and Difficult Dialogues in Higher Education," a book that is one of the cornerstones of Difficult Dialogues pedagogy at UAA. The podcast is available on Spotify.
